Torque 02 is a sculpture composed of a single line of steel tubing. Its structure relies on an even distribution of a twisting force; pulling each side away at the outer curves while also pushing them together at the inner curves beneath. Adding weight by sitting on it compresses the torque and strengthens the form. The work follows the beauty of physics through the system of engineering.
